The percentage of deaths through breast cancer is increasing day by day. In the reports of NICPR, only 66.1% of women are living who was diagnosed with breast cancer between the years 2010-2014. These are the serious numbers which need an attention from all. The women should look to prevent breast cancer by natural means. 1. Limit the Alcohol Consumption

The more you consume alcohol, the more you get towards Breast Cancer. As per the recent studies, it has been seen that the ladies who have 2-3 drinks of alcohol daily possess 20% more risk of breast cancer compared to the one who never drinks. Therefore, limit the alcohol consumption to less than one drink for the day and if you have completely abandoned it then nothing can be better than that.

2. Control the Weight

Generally, the females are seen gaining weight after the menopause. Post menopause, most of the estrogen which a female get is from the fat tissue, which leads to an increased estrogen level in females. The increased estrogen level is not a good sign for any female. Therefore, look to maintain a healthy health after the menopause to avoid or to prevent yourself from breast cancer. Controlling or maintaining a healthy body weight will not only assist you in avoiding Breast Cancer but is also handy in preventing other different types of diseases too.

3. Exercise Regularly

Regular exercising is the first outcome when you are looking for the answer of how to prevent yourself from breast cancer? Performing regular exercises is also beneficial in controlling body weight. So, one should look to spend at least 150-minute for moderate-intensity exercises or they should look to perform 75-minute for vigorous exercises in a week. If a lady spends 30 minutes daily in the morning for the exercises, then nothing is comparable to that.

4. Keep a check on the density of the breast

Having a check or knowledge of the density of the breast is one of the newest methods used to prevent breast cancer. The higher the density of breast, the higher the risk of developing breast cancer. According to the researchers, the lady with dense breasts is six times higher at the risk of breast cancer compared to the one with less dense breasts. So, go for a medical check-up and get knowledge about the density of your breast. Not that, till now there is no standard measure defined for the density of breast. This is subjective to the doctors. In case, if you are found to have dense breast, then don’t miss to take the necessary precautions.

5. Limit the exposure to radiation and environmental pollution

Every lady should look to avoid ionizing radiation as they are associated with a risk of mutation of cells. Imaging test like X-rays, CT Scan, etc possess a high rate of radiation which is harmful to your body, especially for the health of your breast. Therefore, you are suggested to undergo these types of radiation tests only when it is the last option. Other than this, the lady should look to stay away from the polluted areas.

6. Set a limit on the Hormone Replacement Therapy

A woman is at higher risk of breast cancer is she has undergone combinational therapy for a period of 3 to 5 years. Most of the women look to take hormone replacement therapy to control the symptoms of menopause. So, in order to minimize the risk of breast cancer always requests the doctor for the alternatives for the hormone replacement therapy. Again, if there is no alternative, take the dose of hormone replacement therapy for the minimized period of time.

7. Eat the healthy fruits and vegetables

Diet has always been an integral part to prevent breast cancer. The diet aids in maintaining proper carotenoid levels and provides the necessary antioxidants like sulforaphane to prevent breast cancer. A lady with higher carotenoid levels is 19% less prone to breast cancer, compared to the one who has a low carotenoid level. So, add food items like leafy greens, carrots, broccoli, garlic, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and red peppers to avoid the disease like breast cancer.
