Summer won’t last forever and the question on every women’s mind: What to wear for Fall?
Fall and winter are very wet and dreary and sometimes, we lose ourselves under those thick layers of clothing just to protect us from the cold.
On the other side, fall is one of the best seasons to look stylish! Coats, snug sweater, scarves, and jackets are everywhere.
Therefore, it’s quite hard to choose dresses which keep you warm and make you look stylish at the same time.
Here is a list of Fall’s biggest fashion trends:
1. Hoodies & sweatshirts
When fall is shaping up, people start to shop for a new pair of hoodies and sweatshirts. Hoodies and sweatshirts are a great option for the fall as are warm and look trendy. Graphic hoodies & sweatshirts add a breath of fresh air to your boring fall outfit—make sure you have one inside your closet.
2. Military
Infuse your wardrobe with olive greens and khaki colors. The military look works best when layered. For the chilliest weather, invest in a wool coat with metal embellishments. For a lighter look, find a lightweight anorak and layer it over cool blues or crisp whites.
3. Big Knits
Sweaters are the best garment to beat the cold. It’s pretty versatile, easy to wear, and always available. You can aim for a casual look, however, a few tweaks here and there can turn your sweater into a chic piece of clothing. Wrap yourself in big oversized sweaters made of big woven knits. Think big cable knits. Look for big knit scarves to bundle up in. Keep the colors neutral.
4. Over the Knee boots
This is a trend that started a few seasons ago and it’s still going strong. For maximum wearability, choose leather over suede, it will last longer in the rain and snow. Also, look for a low or flat boot, super chic, and also super comfy.
5. Shearling
The leather bomber jacket with a shearling interior is a huge trend this spring. Check out Burberry’s latest looks for inspiration. But don’t let the price hold you back. Look for pieces accented with shearling. Leather gloves that fold over with a shearling interior are a great item. Or try short ankle-length leather booties with shearling accents.
6. Lace-up Ankle Length Boots
This style is huge for Fall. Fitted ankle-length boots should be shown off, so wear them with a dress. Look for ones that lace up. You can even get creative with the color as designers have been sending down this boot on the runways in all sorts of colors: brown, cream, black, yellow and white. To really make this boot hot, wear it with thin colored socks or even super thick knit or wool socks. Then crunch the socks down around the ankle of the boot.
Stay true to your personal style but don’t be afraid to experiment. Add any of these big Fall trends to your wardrobe and you will instantly update your look.
